Job Title: Marketing & Advancement Director
Reports to: CEO
Classification: Non-Exempt, hourly - not to exceed 40 hours per week
Hours: Somewhat Flexible / Monday-Friday with some weekend and evening availability
Pay Rate: $48,000-$52,000

Requirements / Skills
· Experience in successful development of relationships and knowledge of best practices and trends.
· Minimum two years marketing, sales and/or fundraising experience.
· Proven experience and success in developing strategies for donor retention and growth.
· Always represent Habitat in a professional, positive, and courteous manner.
· High level of organizational and prioritization skills. Including ability to manage multiple priorities.
· Strong public speaking, presentation, and motivational skills to convey compelling message in absence of CEO.
· Must be able to have a flexible schedule to assist with office coverage and be present at events and activities.
· Diligently attends to details and pursues quality in accomplishing tasks.
· Promotes collaboration and commitment to Habitat team in achieving goals in all areas of our work.
· Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work and self-starter that achieves results with limited oversight.
· Must be dependable and a team player.
· Proficient in using various software tools to design and create marketing and outreach materials, including social media content, promotional collateral, and press releases.
· Bachelors’ Degree required; extensive experience and knowledge for the position will be considered in lieu of education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Develops and executes ongoing strategy for cultivating donors to ensure retention and growth of support.
· Works collaboratively with Executive Director to create customized solicitation strategies matching the objectives of the organization and interests of the donors/prospects.
· Proactively initiates follow-up, acknowledgment, and stewardship with donors.
· Identifies, collects, and organizes data for analysis and to report on outcomes and overall impact.
· Creates high quality outreach and promotional materials utilizing a variety of outlets and materials.
· Implements and attends events and activities to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors with an emphasis on maximizing support.
· Responsible for our social media presence on multiple sites.
· Identifies potential planned giving prospects among donors and partners.
· Work with staff in order to update and maintain accurate donor records and our mailing list.
· Cultivates relationships with individual donors personally and by supporting our volunteer activities when appropriate.
· Cultivates, solicits, and stewards support from corporations. This includes assisting corporations in achieving their goals in strengthening their brand, marketing, and employee engagement by being proficient at clearly articulating Habitat programs, listening to corporations’ needs and aligning programs to their interests.
· Assist with grant proposals and sponsorships to support specific needs.
· Develop and maintain an active list of contacts to interact with external sources for the procurement of gifts.
· Be the staff point of contact and lead for Habitat Resource & PR Committee and help them achieve their annual goals. Documenting notes and action items following meetings.
· Plan and organize events such as our annual meeting, Women Build, volunteer recognition, and others.
· Raise awareness of our work and all the different opportunities for support.
