Job Description

As a Software Development Engineer at Audible, you will play a crucial role in designing and refining technology that enhances audio storytelling for millions of listeners. You will work within a team that manages Audible's contracts and rights system, ensuring efficient onboarding and payment processes for content providers. This position emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and leadership, as you guide your team to develop effective solutions. Requirements

• 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2 years of non-internship design or architecture experience with design patterns, reliability, and scaling
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3 years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test software components and applications for Audible's platform
• Collaborate on an agile engineering team to write scalable and maintainable code
• Work with stakeholders to envision, design, develop, test, and launch customer-centric software solutions
• Utilize technology to solve challenging problems and deliver high-quality code on schedule
• Demonstrate proficiency in a wide range of data structures and algorithms
• Clarify technical requirements and assess development estimates independently
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Foster continuous improvement in software quality and product maintainability
