Job Description:  

The Food and Beverage Supervisor maintains a thorough knowledge of all venues, products, and services to support management in each concept within the Hotel Swexan. This individual will keep management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports, summarizing information, identifying trends, etc. The Food and Beverage Supervisor will report to the General Manager of Outlets. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist management team with the organization of daily operations. 
  • Assist with maintaining accurate system office systems and records. 
  • Participate in staff meetings as required. 
  • Work with management team to ensure proper scheduling of team members. 
  • Assist with system management and administration. 
  • Supports various outlets with the planning and implementation of new training materials. 
  • Responds to written or phone inquiries and determines proper routing for action. 
  • Meets and exceeds guest expectations by ensuring the team provides positive and courteous service and teamwork. 
  • Ensures that all special requests are handled in an efficient and timely manner. 
  • Is visible, hands on, and ensures a strong personal presence in FOH (mainly during peak hours) and BOH areas. Whenever needed, takes an active part in guest’s service duties (welcoming guests, escorting guests to tables, taking guest’s orders, clearing tables, etc.) 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Required Education & Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in restaurant industry 
  • Strong knowledge of food & beverage 
  • Impeccable and flexible guest communication skills 
  • Ability to multitask and function independently and in a team atmosphere. 
  • A high school diploma or equivalent Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 
  • Positive and Progressive thinking, problem solving and promoting. 
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language. 
  • Ability to handle operational demands with a high degree of professionalism, operating often with time sensitive deadlines. 
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays 
  • Knowledge of MICROS preferred 
  • TABC & Food Handlers Certifications required
