H&R Const. Co., a highway construction contractor in Dalton, Minnesota, is looking for a part-time truck driver to haul materials and equipment to and from job sites and suppliers throughout Minnesota. This is an occasional, as-needed role with a flexible schedule — ideal for an experienced or semi-retired driver who wants to stay behind the wheel a few days here and there without the demands of a full-time route.
Responsibilities
- Haul construction materials and equipment to and from job sites, suppliers, and the yard
- Safely operate company trucks and trailers
- Load, secure, and unload materials and equipment
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Communicate with the dispatcher on schedules and delivery details
- Comply with all DOT and company safety regulations
- Perform other tasks as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a current medical card
- Ability to load, secure, and unload materials and equipment
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience hauling heavy equipment (flatbed, lowboy, etc.)
- Construction or aggregate hauling experience
- Familiarity with Minnesota routes and job-site conditions
