MEMS PROCESS ENGINEER (Device-Level / Foundry Environment)

Gyga Force
Sunnyvale, CA Full Time
POSTED ON 4/14/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 5/13/2026

If your experience is truly in MEMS fabrication and process development (not just testing, characterization, or tool support), this role is worth a look.

Our client is a Silicon Valley-based microfabrication provider supporting end-to-end MEMS and semiconductor development—from device design through production. They operate in a true foundry-style environment, working on both commercial and advanced R&D programs.

They are seeking a Process Engineer to drive MEMS fabrication development and support production-scale processes.

This role is NOT a fit if your background is primarily in testing/characterization, simulation, or equipment/vendor support without direct process ownership.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead development of MEMS fabrication processes and device builds
  • Design and execute experiments across lithography, etch, deposition, and bonding
  • Develop and refine process flows, recipes, and fabrication strategies
  • Document process development, experimental results, and yield data
  • Support production efforts, yield improvement, and defect reduction
  • Ensure compliance with EHS and cleanroom standards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. (M.S./Ph.D. preferred) in EE, ME, Materials Science, Physics, or similar
  • ~5 years of hands-on MEMS or semiconductor process experience
  • Direct experience in MEMS fabrication (not just analysis/testing)
  • Strong mask layout experience (KLayout, L-Edit, or similar)
  • Experience with core microfab techniques (lithography, etch, deposition, bonding)

BONUS (NOT REQUIRED):

  • Materials characterization or surface prep experience
  • SPC / DOE knowledge
  • Experience mentoring or leading small teams
  • Strong organizational and cross-functional communication skills

PERKS & INCENTIVES:

  • Competitive base salary
  • Comprehensive health coverage
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Paid U.S. holidays
  • Consistent Monday–Friday daytime schedule
