What are the responsibilities and job description for the Enterprise Applications Analyst position at Gwinnett County?
IT Systems Analyst will work closely with business users and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into clear technical requirements for system improvements or new solutions. This position will be responsible for setting up, testing, launching, and supporting Business Solutions applications and systems, making sure they run smoothly, securely, and with accurate data.
Essential Duties
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across systems, applications, and integrations, partnering with vendors and IT teams to minimize downtime and keep operations running
- Recommend and deliver system improvements, automation, and streamlined workflows, while keeping documentation, procedures, and user guides accurate and up to date
- Partner with business users to gather requirements and translate them into application functionality and system specifications
- Analyze business applications and workflows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
- Configure, customize, and test applications to ensure they meet user and business requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve application errors, integration issues, and performance problems to minimize downtime
- Coordinate with application vendors and IT teams on updates, patches, and new releases
- Develop and maintain application documentation, training materials, and user guides
- Monitor application performance and usage to optimize functionality and resource allocation
- Recommend and implement application enhancements, automation, and workflow improvements to drive efficiency and business value
- Provide application support and training to end users, improving adoption and effective use
- Ensure application security, data accuracy, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards
- Conduct presentations and training sessions to educate end users on application features, updates, and best practices.
- Communicate system changes, incidents, and solutions to stakeholders and leadership in clear, non-technical language.
- Facilitate workshops and user forums to gather feedback, answer questions, and ensure effective application adoption.
- This job is a civilian position in either a public safety department or in Information Technology with close ties to public safety. Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a public safety background which may include motor vehicle & criminal histories, and fingerprinting.
- This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays..
The grade for this position is 103. Salary will be dependent on education and experience.
Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Application Support, IT Systems Support, IT Desktop Support, and IT Helpdesk, or a closely related field AND
- Three years of application development experience
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
