Job Summary
At Gummynology, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, perfectly crafted gummy products. We are seeking an experienced and meticulous QA Auditor to ensure our operations meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
In this role, you will perform ongoing internal audits tailored to cGMP (21 CFR Part 111 / 117) and NSF guidelines. You will audit every step of our specialized gummy production process—from raw material receiving and batch compounding to curing, coating, and final packaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Ongoing Internal Audits: Conduct scheduled and unannounced audits across all manufacturing, holding, and packaging areas to verify ongoing compliance with cGMP, NSF, and internal SOP standards.
- Gummy Process Audits: Evaluate critical control points specific to gummy manufacturing, including slurry/kitchen preparation, Brix and pH checks, depositor accuracy, drying/curing room environmental controls (temp/humidity), and oiling/sanding applications.
- Batch Record & Traceability Verification: Perform real-time and post-production batch record reviews to ensure full regulatory traceability, accurate yield calculations, and complete documentation.
- CAPA & Non-Conformance Management: Identify audit findings, issue Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) requests, work with cross-functional teams to investigate root causes, and audit the effectiveness of implemented fixes.
- Sanitation & Environmental Auditing: Audit sanitation programs, pre-operational line clearances, environmental monitoring results, and hygiene/PPE practices on the plant floor.
- External Audit Support: Assist QA Leadership during third-party audits, including NSF certification audits and regulatory (FDA) inspections.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1 - 3 years of QA Auditing experience.
- Regulatory Expertise: Strong working knowledge of cGMP guidelines (21 CFR 111 / 117) and NSF standards (NSF/ANSI 455-2 / 173 preferred).
- Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
- Certifications: CQA (ASQ Certified Quality Auditor), PCQI, or HACCP certification is a major plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Core Competencies:
- Exceptional observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong diplomatic, communication, and report-writing abilities to partner effectively with production managers and operators.
