We are seeking an experienced Lead Residential Electrician to join our team and drive excellence in residential electrical projects. Duties
- Lead and coordinate residential electrical projects from initial planning through completion, ensuring timely and quality execution.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately install and troubleshoot electrical systems.
- Supervise and mentor apprentice electricians and junior team members, fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems including low voltage, lighting, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and wiring in residential settings.
- Prepare for inspections to ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local regulations, and safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment to diagnose potential issues efficiently.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols related to low voltage wiring and general construction site safety practices.
Skills
- Experience with residential electrical systems combined with strong knowledge of commercial or industrial electrician practices.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for complex electrical installations.
- Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers), power tools (e.g., drills), ohmmeters, and other testing devices for troubleshooting.
- Ability to interpret schematics related to various electrical components including power supplies and control panels.
- Experience with projects involving framing carpentry or general construction tasks on-site.
- Knowledge of circuit design principles including schematic reading for both new installations and troubleshooting existing systems.
- Strong handyman skills with the ability to perform miscellaneous tasks around the job site as needed.
- Previous construction site experience demonstrating safety awareness and efficient project management skills.
