Cashier

GREAT BARRINGTON LOCATION ONLY

Guido’s Fresh Marketplace is looking to hire a cashier to join our front-end team in our Great Barrington store. A cashier will report directly to the front-end manager and department supervisors. A cashier provides support as a member of the Front-End team to include assisting customers during the check-out process, performing all cash register functions, bagging groceries, and working at the customer service desk.

Potential Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday

OFF ON THURSDAYS AND FRIDAYS

Duties and Responsibilities

• Checks out customer groceries efficiently and accurately.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.
• Cleans and stocks Front End areas, including own register – changing tapes and ribbon as necessary.
• Follows all cash handling procedures – meeting and exceeding regional cashier variance policy.
• Follows and complies with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adheres to safe work practices.
• Answers department telephone calls and pages quickly and with excellent phone etiquette.
• Prioritizes department needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor
• Helps to create positive customer experience

Pay Range: Up to $18.00, commensurate with experience.
