Dismantler
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Dismantler for our busy auto salvage yard. If you like working with your hands and have experience with auto parts, this might be the position for you. You'll be dismantling engines, transmissions, rear axles, and other parts. This position also involved preparing the vehicle for recycling; removing wiring, wheels, batteries, and other parts as assigned.
Essential Duties
- Dismantle vehicles within the suggested time constraints with safety in mind always.
- Label and tag parts to be placed into stock.
- Check the quality and product type of the parts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must have hands-on automotive experience.
- Knowledge of tools required to dismantle cars and car parts; hand and air tools, and torches.
- Valid driver's license
- Must have a basic understanding of the function of each part of a vehicle.
- High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements
Requires lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, significant bending and reaching, climbing. significant physical strength and stamina. Ability to lift and pull at least 50 lbs. Good hearing and vision are required. Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
