Guardian Construction is hiring a Superintendent to run federal construction projects in the field. USACE, NAVFAC, FAA, GSA — we build for every major federal agency, and we need someone who can own the site.
This is a traveling role with a full travel package: per diem at GSA rates, hotel, rental vehicle, and a paid flight home every month. No out-of-pocket costs.
Guardian is a full-service GC with $50M in active federal construction. We are not a staffing agency — you work for us, on our projects, with our team.
What You Will Do:
- Direct all field operations on federal construction sites
- Manage subcontractors, daily manpower, and material deliveries
- Enforce the project schedule and coordinate with the PM on progress
- Conduct daily safety briefings and ensure EM 385-1-1 compliance
- Maintain the three-week look-ahead schedule
- Interface with government QA inspectors, CORs, and contracting officers
- Produce daily reports and photo documentation
What You Bring:
- 5 years as a superintendent on federal construction projects
- Experience with USACE, NAVFAC, FAA, or GSA project requirements
- OSHA 30-hour certification
- Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 safety requirements
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Willingness to travel nationwide (project assignments typically 6-18 months)
Compensation & Travel Package:
- $115,000 — $125,000 annually
