Project Manager - Federal Construction

Guardian Construction is hiring a Project Manager to lead federal construction projects across the U.S. for agencies including USACE, NAVFAC, FAA, GSA, and VA.

This is a traveling role. We cover everything: full per diem at GSA rates, hotel, rental vehicle, and a paid trip home every month. You manage the project — we handle the logistics of getting you there.

Guardian is a full-service general contractor with $50M in active federal awards. We run a PX/PM model where PMs own the technical delivery and PXs own the client relationship. You will not be buried in admin — you will build.

What You Will Do:

- Manage federal construction projects from mobilization through closeout

- Own the schedule (P6/MS Project), budget, submittals, and RFIs

- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and agency CORs

- Lead site meetings and produce daily/weekly reports

- Manage project documentation per USACE/NAVFAC/FAA standards

- Mentor field staff and maintain safety culture

What You Bring:

- 5 years managing federal construction projects (USACE, NAVFAC, FAA, GSA, or VA)

- Experience with government submittals, RFIs, and modification processes

- Proficiency with Procore, P6/MS Project, and standard PM tools

- Strong communication — you will interface directly with government CORs and contracting officers

- Willingness to travel nationwide (project assignments typically 6-18 months)

Compensation & Travel Package:

- $115,000 — $125,000 annually
