Job Description: Welding Technician
Location: Seymour, IN
Job Type: Full-Time (onsite)
Shift: 6am-6pm, Weekend shift. Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Pay: $28.25
Job Summary:
The Welding Technician is responsible for performing welding operations on various bicycle components to ensure structural integrity and quality. This role requires expertise in various welding techniques, including Robotic and other industrial welding processes, to produce durable, high-quality bicycle frames and parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Robotic and other welding techniques on bicycle frames and components.
- Inspect welded areas to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand welding requirements.
- Set up and adjust welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Monitor heat levels and welding parameters to prevent defects and ensure high-quality welds.
- Collaborate with production teams to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and procedures.
- Keep detailed records of welding processes and repairs.
Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in welding or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a welding technician, preferably in manufacturing or bicycle production.
- Strong knowledge of Robotic, MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
- Experience with different types of metals and welding materials.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
- Strong understanding safety protocols and best practices in welding.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
