Job Description: Robot Technician
Location: Seymour, IN
Job Type: Full-Time (onsite)
Shift: 6am-6pm, Weekend Shift. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Pay: $32.75-$34.75
Job Summary:
The Robot Technician will be responsible for programming, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining robotic systems and fiber-processing equipment while also playing a key role in overseeing production. This position requires a combination of technical expertise and hands-on production management to ensure efficiency, quality, and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and oversee production processes, ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations.
- Program, calibrate, and maintain robotic systems used in manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues with robotic equipment, sensors, and automation systems.
- Monitor and maintain fiber-processing machinery to ensure precision and efficiency.
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize robotic operations and workflows.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues in robotic and fiber equipment.
- Maintain documentation of maintenance activities, programming updates, and repair logs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures when working with automated systems.
Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or certification in robotics, automation, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with industrial robots and fiber-processing equipment.
- Strong understanding of PLC programming, robotic programming, and automation systems.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in operating or managing production lines using technical knowledge is a plus.
- Utilizing technical knowledge to ensure smooth operation of production equipment and resolve technical issues quickly.
- Experience managing or leading production processes is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to stay up to date with advancements in robotic and fiber technology.
