Job Description: Receiving Associate

Location: Seymour, Indiana

Job Type: Full-Time (onsite)

Pay: $18/hr.

Hours: 6:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Thursday

Job Summary:

The Receiving Associate is responsible for managing the receipt of goods and materials into the warehouse. This includes inspecting shipments for quality, accuracy, and completeness, and ensuring that all items are properly recorded and stored.

Key Responsibilities:

• Unload incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Inspect items for damage or defects and report discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of received items and update inventory systems as needed.
• Complete the necessary paperwork for all incoming shipments.
• Sort and store received items in designated locations within the warehouse.
• Ensure proper labeling and organization of inventory.
• Work closely with inventory and shipping teams to ensure efficient operations.
• Follow safety protocols and best practices in handling materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role preferred.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
• WMS experience.
• Computer experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Forklift experience is preferred but not required
• Must be able to understand English on a limited basis to follow basic work instructions.
• Standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
