Job Title: Assembly Team Lead
Location: Seymour, Indiana
Job Type: Full-time (On-site)
Hours: 6:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Thursday
Some overtime available
Pay: $20-$22/hr.
Position Summary
The Assembly Team Lead is a hands-on role responsible for guiding a team of production associates on the assembly line. This position oversees daily operations, ensures production goals are met, and fosters a safe, efficient, and positive work environment. The ideal candidate leads by example, supports team development, and champions Guardian’s culture of safety and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the assembly team.
- Ensure production schedules are achieved with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Train, coach, and support team members on standard operating procedures and best practices.
- Conduct quality checks to confirm bikes meet Guardian’s standards.
- Quickly identify and resolve workflow issues or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain accurate production and equipment performance records.
- Collaborate with supervisors and other departments to address team needs and process improvements.
- Promote and model Guardian’s safety culture.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and performance.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2 years of experience in manufacturing or assembly, with prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly and production processes.
- Ability to motivate, coach, and lead a team effectively.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Skilled with hand tools, torque wrenches, and basic measuring devices.
