We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be based in the Chicagoland area, able to commute to Glenview, IL.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile monthly carrier payments in the commission system to ensure accurate and timely payment to agents
- Processes weekly accounts payable vouchers and assists in the 1099 process
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Provide management with financial information, analyze accounts, and prepare quarterly financial statements for one subsidiary
- Assists in other special projects as needed
Education And Skills
- Minimum 1 year experience in Accounting or Finance
- Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of insurance preferred
- Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
