Guadalupe Bank is seeking a friendly, detail‑oriented Teller to join our Fredericksburg team. This position plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service while accurately processing a wide variety of banking transactions. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, and committed to building strong customer relationships.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- Open and close the bank and vault in accordance with established procedures
- Accurately process customer transactions, including cash and non‑cash transactions, while following all bank policies and procedures
- Issue Cashier’s Checks and accept loan payments
- Balance transactions at the end of each day and verify cash totals
- Provide outstanding customer service to all customers, both in person and over the phone
- Greet customers politely and energetically, creating a welcoming banking experience
- Answer customer inquiries and make every effort to resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Promote Guadalupe Bank products and services to deepen customer relationships
- Identify appropriate cross‑selling opportunities and refer customers to the appropriate bank personnel
- Prepare and manage change orders
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy and ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, controls, and regulations
- Follow procedures and take direction from management
- Meet or exceed expectations for performance, productivity, and quality standards
- Provide coverage at other branches as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
