Deposit Operations Specialist
This position is in Kerrville, Texas and is in person only.
Position Summary
Provides comprehensive operational support to the Deposit Operations Manager and collaborates with various Bank departments. This position is responsible for monitoring, processing, and reconciling transactions and activities related to the Bank’s deposit operations; ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional internal service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and reconcile non-posted items, stop payments, and NSF items on a daily basis
- Process debit card disputes and related documentation
- Handle chargebacks, returns, ACH transactions, and wire transfers
- Prepare and process daily reports and settlements as assigned by the Deposit Operations Manager
- Process legal items including levies, garnishments, and subpoenas
- Review and process mobile deposit transactions
- Maintain strict confidentiality of Bank and customer information
- Stay current with and comply with all applicable regulatory requirements and required training
- Provide additional operational support to the Deposit Operations Manager as needed
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of one (1) year of related banking or deposit operations experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to perform tasks efficiently and accurately with strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to learn, understand, and apply bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment to achieve shared goals
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret written, oral, and procedural instructions
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
