What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Manager position at GTI Precision Components?
GTI Precision Components is seeking a quality manager with a mechanical Aerospace parts background to join our team. We are a machine shop serving the Aerospace, Space, Defense, and Medical industries.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage AS9100 Quality System
- Perform internal audits of the QMS
- Conduct training of new employees on quality procedures
- Review and improve our existing documentation: Quality manual, forms and procedures
- Continue migration of all forms and procedures into ProShop ERP Software
- Receive and communicate with customers and vendors for all quality issues
- Investigated and resolved causes of manufacturing defects
- Perform root cause analysis of rejects and respond to customer SCARS
- Issue Non-Conformances and SCARS to vendors
- Maintain customer quality documents
- Acquire SAE standards as required
- Issue RMA for rejected parts
- Serve as point person to inspectors who are measure our parts
- Help trouble shoot inspection results and issues with engineering team and production manager
- Attend weekly meetings for review of new and existing parts/production
- Review part print/drawing for all quality requirements and create inspection plan
- Manage gauge inventory and calibration schedule
Requirements and Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing and quality assurance
- 3 years managing a quality system
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office 365
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Positive mindset
- Calm demeanor
Schedule

- Day shift: 8am-5pm

Pay: $75, $95,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
