Purpose:
The Central Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading sales performance and driving market share growth within the Central Region, which may encompass multiple territories. This role involves managing and mentoring a team of sales professionals, collaborating closely with dealer networks, and executing region-specific sales strategies that align with broader corporate goals. The Central Regional Sales Manager plays a vital role in generating revenue, strengthening relationships with customers and dealers, and developing sales talent throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead sales efforts within a designated geographic region, achieving revenue targets and expanding market share across multiple territories
- Create and execute regional sales plans aligned with corporate goals and tailored to market conditions, customer needs, and dealer capabilities
- Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of sales professionals, ensuring alignment with performance objectives and promoting continuous improvement
- Build strong relationships with dealer networks to drive collaboration, enhance customer service, and support business growth through joint initiatives and strategic planning
- Track regional performance data, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to adjust strategies and ensure continued success
- Stay informed on competitive activity, industry developments, and customer feedback to inform decision-making and improve market positioning
- All other duties assigned
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field
- 3–5 years of sales or rental experience in the construction equipment industry or a closely related field
- 3–5 years of proven management or leadership experience, preferably in a regional or territory sales capacity
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer relationship skills, with solid proficiency in computer systems and business applications
- Strong working knowledge of construction equipment operations and mechanical functions
- A solid understanding of financial and pricing principles, including the impact of discounting on profitability
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to meet company driving requirements
