Supervises: None
Purpose:
This role involves using various welding techniques, operating machine tools, and reading blueprints to ensure accurate and high-quality repairs and fabrication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding and fabrication of metal components for repair and reinforcement
- Operating and maintaining machine tools like lathes, boring mills, and saws to fabricate and machine components
- Identifying and resolving issues that arise during welding and fabrication processes.
- Ensure all welds and fabrications meet safety and quality standards
- Collaborate with service technicians to assess repair needs and timeline
- Work with the Service management team and Line Boring Specialist.
- All other duties assigned
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or welding certification preferred
- 2 years of welding/fabrication experience; line boring experience highly preferred
- Experience operating boring equipment and machining tools
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to lift heavy components and work in various shop and field environments
- Valid driver’s license
