Welder Fabricator

SUMMARY:
The Welder Fabricator is responsible for fabricating and assembling metal parts and structures by applying various welding techniques and fabrication skills, often following blueprints and specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Reading and Interpreting Blueprints: Understanding technical drawings and specifications to determine the best fabrication methods. 
•  Material Selection and Preparation: Choosing appropriate materials, such as sheet metal or steel, and preparing them for fabrication. 
•  Cutting, Shaping, and Welding: Using various tools and techniques to cut, shape, and weld metal pieces according to specifications. 
•  Quality Control: Inspecting welds and finished products for accuracy and adherence to standards. 
•  Tool and Equipment Operation: Operating hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment. 
•  Problem Solving: Troubleshooting issues and identifying areas for process improvement.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
1. Must have a firm understanding of the fabrication process.
2. AWS Welding Certification, or similar industry certifications (desired but not required).

3. Minimum of 2 years’ experience with fabrication/welding
4. High school diploma or equivalent.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
1. The employee in this role will primarily be working in a temperature-controlledenvironment.
2. Occasional outside work may be required.
3. May be exposed to noise levels that will require hearing protection.

Salary : $24 - $35
