What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rotary Die-Cutting Press Operator (Insignia) position at GSP North America?
Shape printed work with precision—one cut at a timeStep into a day where craftsmanship meets accuracy. You’ll open each shift by reviewing the job jacket, confirming the correct die and stock, and ensuring all required fabrication noted on the work order is complete before you begin. You’ll set up the die-cutting tool, dial in the proper cutting pressure based on leadership priorities, and run the job to spec—inspecting output so only quality work moves on to the next station.What you’ll doSelect and install the correct die per job jacket and run the matching stock through the die-cutting process.Operate die cutting machinery (including Insignia/rotary systems) to perform detailed custom cuts on diverse printed materials.Confirm, prior to cutting, that all prerequisite fabrication listed on the work order has been completed.Adjust and maintain proper cutting pressure to achieve clean, accurate results.Identify and report any signage-related issues to management to protect final quality.Escalate machine performance concerns to management and/or maintenance promptly.Uphold safety and housekeeping standards across the work area.Use a forklift when needed to stage or move materials.Deliver consistent, high-quality output to the next workstation and assist with other duties as assigned.What you bring6 months of experience with Die Cutting, Die making, Cutting, or Router machines.High organization and close attention to detail; able to manage heavy workloads with accuracy.Deadline-driven mindset with the ability to keep workflow disruptions to a minimum.Solid basic math skills, including fractions and percentages.Ability to pass a basic skills test.English communication skills (read, speak, write, and understand).Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.Availability for weekend shifts and overtime as needed.Safety-first approach; capable of working independently with minimal supervision.Team-oriented and a positive contributor to GSP culture.Compensation$17.00 for 1st shift and $17.50 for 2nd shift.Tools & techYou should be proficient in: CNC Tooling
