The HR Specialist (Payroll) plays a key part in executing payroll and HR processes, ensuring compliance, and delivering high-quality support to both corporate employees and operational teams. Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing & Administration
- Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time for employees and driver-partners
- Maintain and update payroll-related records, including timekeeping, attendance, and compensation data
- Support the HR and Finance teams in preparing timekeeping, payroll data, and employee benefits processing
- Help address payroll concerns and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies
- Handle statutory deductions, tax filings, and payroll-related compliance requirements
HR Operations & Compliance
- Maintain and update employee and contractor records, including driver-partner profiles and documents
- Ensure payroll and HR compliance with local labor laws, regulations, and company policies
- Assist with government reporting and audit preparation related to payroll and statutory contributions
Employee Engagement & Support
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee payroll-related concerns or inquiries
- Assist in internal communication efforts, including announcements and policy updates related to payroll and benefits
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in payroll processing or HR operations with a strong payroll focus
- Experience in the Fleet or Transportation industry is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with HRIS systems, timekeeping, and payroll software (e.g., Sprout, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Solid knowledge of local labor laws, statutory compliance, and payroll regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills — able to interact effectively with office staff, field personnel, and driver-partners
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- High level of discretion and integrity in handling sensitive employee and payroll information
- Ability to work in a fast-changing and technology-driven environment
