Payroll Specialist

Join our dynamic team as a Payroll Specialist, where you'll play a crucial role in managing multi-state payroll processes and supporting international operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance and accuracy in payroll management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and process payroll for U.S. employees using outsourced payroll software.
• Verify and enter personnel changes into HR/Payroll systems.
• Establish and modify payroll earnings and deduction codes.
• Review time and attendance entries for non-exempt employees.
• Prepare payrolls for exempt and non-exempt employees, including special payrolls for bonuses.
• Submit payrolls for review and process garnishments as required.
• Coordinate payroll requirements for Employee Stock Purchase Plans and upload 401(k) withholdings.
• Prepare journal entries related to payroll and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with international subsidiary payroll coordination.
• Support quarterly and annual external audit reviews and coordinate SOX activities.
  
  
  

Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in payroll management.
• Understanding of federal and state payroll regulations.
• Experience with general ledger and journal entries.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to handle sensitive information securely.
