Job Title: Travel Medical Technologist (MT) /(MLS)
Location: Atlanta, GA 30342
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Every Other Weekend)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Note: No local candidates within 50 miles
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) for a 13-week travel assignment in a high-volume Clinical Laboratory. The ideal candidate will have strong hematology and core laboratory experience, be proficient with Sysmex and CellaVision systems, and have experience working in a large acute care hospital laboratory.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and complex laboratory testing in Hematology and Core Laboratory departments.
- Analyze and accurately interpret laboratory test results.
- Perform manual differentials and evaluate abnormal cell morphology.
- Process and troubleshoot complex specimens, including platelet clumps, turbid samples, and abnormal cell findings.
- Operate and maintain laboratory analyzers, including Sysmex and CellaVision systems.
- Ensure quality control, quality assurance, and compliance with laboratory standards.
- Document results accurately using Cerner EMR/LIS.
- Collaborate with pathologists and healthcare providers to support quality patient care.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist experience.
- Certification required: ASCP, AMT, or AAB
- Experience with: Hematology, Core Laboratory, Sysmex, CellaVision, Cerner
- Previous experience in a large hospital laboratory (600 beds) strongly preferred.
- Strong competency performing manual differentials and working with neonatal specimens.
- Ability to manage high specimen volumes and complex laboratory cases.
- Previous travel experience preferred.
Pay: $48.00 - $53.00 per hour
