Work Arrangement:
Candidate must be local to Indianapolis. The selected resource will work 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week. Please provide the candidate’s current home address.

Job Description

The Immunization Helpdesk Analyst provides technical and customer support for Immunization Information Systems (IIS). The role focuses on maintaining data integrity, including resolving duplicate records, bad merges, and other immunization data discrepancies. This position supports healthcare providers, public health agencies, and internal users, ensuring accuracy and reliability of data within the immunization registry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquiries from healthcare providers, public health agencies, and internal users regarding immunization records and IIS functionality.
  • Investigate and resolve duplicate patient records, bad merges, and other data integrity issues.
  • Use data tools, matching logic, and deduplication techniques to correct inaccurate records.
  • Escalate complex data issues to technical teams or data stewards when necessary.
  • Document all interactions in the ticketing system and maintain accurate support logs.
  • Provide guidance and best practices for data entry and record management.
  • Collaborate with IT and data quality teams to enhance deduplication processes and overall system performance.
  • Work with internal and external teams to improve Data Quality metrics.
  • Assist in testing system updates, enhancements, and new features.
  • Produce data quality trend reports and help develop user training materials.

Top Skills and Years of Experience

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Information Technology, Public Health, or a related field (Required).
  • Minimum 4.5 years of experience in a helpdesk, data quality, or healthcare IT support role (Required).
  • At least 4.5 years of experience using deduplication tools, data matching, or record linkage techniques (Required).
  • Familiarity with Immunization Information Systems (Required).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (Required).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills (Required).
  • Experience using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Desired).
  • Knowledge of HL7 messaging and public health data standards (Desired).
  • Experience with state or local public health departments (Desired).
  • Understanding of HIPAA and data privacy regulations (Desired).
