Certified Surgical Technologist – Operating Room
Weekly Gross: $2300
Department: Operating Room
Location: 830 Washington Street, Watertown, NY 13601
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-hour Days | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule: Thursday – Wednesday
Radius Rule: Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility.
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a 13-week travel assignment in the Operating Room.
The Surgical Technologist will work under the direct supervision of an RN and assist with the care and preparation of surgical patients by performing routine and delegated duties in accordance with hospital and departmental standards and policies.
The successful candidate will perform technical duties related to scrub personnel, maintain a sterile surgical environment, ensure surgical equipment is functioning properly and safely, and assist surgeons during surgical procedures.
Requirements
- Current Surgical Technologist certification required
- Previous travel/contract experience required
- Orthopedic (Ortho) surgical experience required
- Operating room scrubbing experience required
- Da Vinci robotic surgery experience required
- BLS certification required
- Strong knowledge of cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of operating room equipment and instrumentation
- Ability to maintain a sterile field and follow established surgical protocols
- Must be able to respond to call-in assignments and arrive within 30 minutes of being called in
- Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and call
- May be required to precept new staff
- Candidates must meet the 100-mile radius rule
- Travel candidates only
