Senior Vice President of Engineering - Data Centers (Expressions of Interest)

- Salary: $375,000 – $415,000 Performance bonus Signing bonus
We are seeking expressions of interest for a Senior Vice President of Engineering, modeled on an executive-level role with a high-growth national data center developer expanding its technical design and delivery functions at scale. The business develops multi-megawatt and gigawatt hyperscale data center campuses across key U.S. markets, and is at a stage of growth where next-generation MEP engineering, high-density cooling, and technical design leadership are core drivers of portfolio value and deployment velocity.
What the SVP of Engineering would do:
- Set Technical Strategy: Lead global engineering vision across all campuses, aligning architecture, structural, MEP, and OFCI equipment strategies into a unified framework.
- Executive Representation: Serve as the chief technical voice reporting directly to the President on high-density AI infrastructure, next-gen cooling, and Uptime standards.
- Scale the Team: Lead and expand a 150 person engineering org across civil, structural, MEP, and commissioning disciplines to support a 2 GW pipeline.
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with Development, Finance, and Hyperscale clients to evaluate direct-to-chip/immersion cooling, manage risk, and support capital deployment.
- Drive Delivery & OFCI: Oversee L1–L5 commissioning, global OFCI vendor selection, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) standards across all hyperscale sites.
Who You Are
- 10 years of progressive engineering leadership on the owner, developer, or operator side of multi-megawatt data center programs
- Demonstrable track record of leading end-to-end data center engineering strategy across large, multi-market hyperscale portfolios
- Deep familiarity with Uptime Tier III/IV topologies, ASHRAE TC 9.9 high-density thermal guidance, and relevant NFPA codes (Active PE license and Uptime ATD preferred)
- Proven ability to inherit, build, and lead high-performing multi-disciplinary technical teams of 100 engineers in a fast-paced environment
- Executive presence and the ability to represent the company credibly with hyperscale clients, equipment OEMs, enterprise partners, and board-level stakeholders.
