What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Vice President, Project Delivery & Deployment position at GS2 | B Corp™?
Title: Vice President, Project Delivery & Deployment (Advanced Clean Energy / Hard-Tech)
Comp: $375,000 to $450,000 Base C-Suite Equity Package Executive Bonus
Overview:
We are partnering with a well-funded, venture-backed clean energy scale-up. They have proven their technology in the lab and secured major commercial agreements. Now, they need to build it.
They are preparing to break ground on a first-of-a-kind (FOAK) physical facility and need an Executive Vice President of Project Delivery to join the core executive leadership team and spearhead the company's physical execution.
The Role:
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will act as the ultimate Owner's Representative and hold the P&L for global deployment. You will bridge the gap between the engineering organization and actual site execution. As an EVP, you will architect the multi-year deployment roadmap, build out the organizational structure below you, and select the Tier 1 EPC partners to get the job done.
What You'll Do:
- Executive Leadership: Sit on the core C-suite team, advising the CEO and the Board of Directors on capital allocation, deployment timelines, and enterprise risk.
- Own the Deployment Strategy: Architect the phase-gate process to take next-generation energy hardware from prototype, to manufacturing, and finally to field installation.
- EPC & Commercial Management: Drive the commercial execution strategy. You will lead the selection of EPC contractors and negotiate massive, nine-figure construction and procurement contracts.
- Build the Division: Hire and manage a team of VPs and Directors across Supply Chain, Construction, and Interconnection to execute multiple megaprojects concurrently.
Who You Are:
- You have 15 years of experience, with a proven track record operating at the executive level leading complex, high-value megaprojects
- Your background is in industries where safety, precision, and heavy infrastructure meet. You have deep experience in Advanced Nuclear, Fusion (preferred) or highly regulated heavy infrastructure where you have managed First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) deployments.
- You are comfortable in the boardroom. You know how to translate heavy construction and supply chain risks into financial terms for founders and venture capital investors.
- You have a proven track record of managing project delivery on the client side, holding ultimate P&L responsibility, rather than just executing designs as a service provider.
- You are a builder. There is no playbook here, so you need the leadership gravity to build an entire division from the ground up and drive a culture of execution.
If you are an executive leader ready to own the physical deployment of technology that will actually impact the global energy grid, submit your resume or LinkedIn profile to start the conversation.
