In an interim or project-based position on our flexTALENT™ team, you’ll have challenging and dynamic work with private equity-backed and privately held middle market to enterprise sized companies – helping them navigate their most complex transformation challenges and strategic initiatives.

Core Consultant Profiles We’re Targeting:

  • Transformation Project Managers
  • Strategic Initiative Leaders
  • Cross-Functional Program Managers
  • PMO Consultants and Advisors
  • Change Management Practitioners

Typical Engagements Include:

  • Leading or supporting complex business transformation projects from inception through execution
  • Managing cross-functional strategic initiatives and driving alignment across workstreams
  • Coordinating systems, process, and organizational changes following acquisitions or restructuring
  • Building or standing up PMO functions and project governance frameworks
  • Facilitating executive-level steering committees, status reporting, and stakeholder communication
  • Developing practical project roadmaps aligned to business priorities
  • Bridging gaps between business stakeholders and execution teams

Skills & Experience


We’re looking for consultants who bring strength in one or more of the following:

  • Project Leadership: Transformation PM, strategic initiative management, cross-functional program coordination
  • Methodology: PMP, Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project management frameworks
  • Stakeholder Management: Executive communication, steering committee facilitation, status reporting
  • PMO: Governance frameworks, project portfolio management, reporting and dashboards
  • General: Strong communication, documentation, risk management, and problem-solving skills

Required Qualifications and Core Competencies

  • 5 years of relevant professional experience, including project or program management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience managing complex business projects, transformation initiatives, or strategic programs (transformation project manager, strategic initiative PM, or cross-functional PM experience strongly valued)
  • Strong business acumen with ability to quickly understand client operations and communicate business impact
  • Strong analytical thinker with the ability to see the big picture while staying on top of the details
  • Strong communication skills; comfortable engaging with and presenting to C-suite and senior leaders
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management across all levels of an organization
  • Ability to develop and maintain detailed project plans and keep projects on track
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams at once
  • Strong decision-making skills with ability to exercise good judgment
  • Ability to build rapport and gain trust with stakeholders in a short timeframe
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in ambiguous environments
  • Enjoys working with multiple clients in a variety of industries, often simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment with clients and internal teams

Preferred Experience

  • Prior engagements in consulting or contract work
  • Experience working with private equity-backed companies or growth environments
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential
  • Background in mergers, acquisitions, and integrations
  • Experience standing up or supporting a PMO function

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

  • Contract / project-based assignments
  • Projects/interim work can either be part- or full-time, depending on the client’s requests, with some flexibility regarding work schedule and location
  • FLSA Status: Hourly, non-exempt

Work Environment / Travel

  • The work is performed on-site at client locations or remotely from home depending on engagement.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.
  • Travel is primarily local during the business day; some out-of-town and overnight travel may be expected as determined by client need.
