About Us:
GECS GovCon is a fast-growing consulting firm helping businesses enter and succeed in the federal contracting space. We specialize in federal readiness, procurement strategy, and what we call “Federal Visibility”—positioning companies to be discovered and trusted by government agencies and prime contractors.
We are building a scalable internal marketing and client delivery system and are looking for a hands-on Marketing Manager to work directly alongside the Founder to execute, manage, and grow our visibility and content engine.
Role Overview:
This is not a traditional marketing role.
We are looking for a builder/operator who can take ideas and turn them into execution. You will be responsible for managing our company’s visibility, content, and marketing systems, while also supporting client-facing deliverables.
You will work directly with the Founder and play a key role in building the internal marketing infrastructure of the company.
Key Responsibilities:1. Content & Social Media Management
- Manage GECS social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
- Execute daily content posting and scheduling
- Assist in creating and repurposing content (posts, short-form video, graphics)
- Monitor engagement, messages, and comments
2. Marketing & Growth Systems
- Assist in building and managing sales funnels
- Support cold email campaigns (domain setup, sequencing, execution)
- Track and report on marketing performance (analytics, engagement, leads)
- Support ad campaigns (LinkedIn, Facebook/Instagram)
3. Creative & Asset Development
- Design or assist with:
- Capability statements
- Client-facing documents
- Social media graphics
- Basic video editing and content creation
4. Client Delivery Support
- Support onboarding of new clients
- Assist in building client visibility assets (profiles, content, branding)
- Help manage client social media accounts as part of our programs
5. Execution & Operations
- Work closely with the Founder to execute marketing initiatives
- Help build systems and processes for scalability
- Coordinate with VA/AI tools to streamline workflows
Qualifications Required:
- 2 years in marketing, content, or social media management
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Experience with social media platforms (especially LinkedIn)
- Basic design skills (Canva, Adobe, or similar)
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Self-starter with ability to execute without constant direction
Preferred:
- Experience in B2B, consulting, or agency environments
- Familiarity with email marketing or outbound campaigns
- Video editing experience (short-form content)
- Experience working directly with founders or small teams
