Responsibilities
- Support lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
- Assist with daily childcare routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and hygiene practices for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
- Monitor children’s behavior to ensure safety and positive interactions, employing effective behavior management techniques
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and development
- Engage with children through play, storytelling, arts and crafts, and educational games to foster curiosity and learning
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children’s progress, needs, or concerns
- Support classroom management by supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities while adhering to safety protocols
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus
- Familiarity with classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patience and enthusiasm
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and team members
- Passion for nurturing young minds and supporting early childhood education
