Job Summary & Mentorship Opportunity
Are you passionate about early childhood education and looking to learn the ins and outs of running a successful childcare business? This is a unique opportunity! You will work directly alongside an experienced daycare provider and business owner. In this role, you won't just be looking after children—you will get firsthand, mentorship-level experience on how to manage a licensed daycare, design curriculum, and deliver top-tier childcare.
Hours: 9:00am - 1:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Care: Assist with infant/toddler feedings, diaper changings, and maintaining a clean, sanitized, and safe environment.
- Educational Activities: Help lead and participate in age-appropriate academic activities, circle time, arts and crafts, and storytelling.
- Physical Play: Supervise and engage with children during indoor and outdoor physical play to support their gross motor skills.
- Routine Management: Help maintain daily schedules for naps, meals, and activities to ensure a structured, comforting environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Language: Must be fluent in Spanish (bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, as you will interact with children and potentially families in both languages).
- Certifications: Willingness to register for and complete First Aid and CPR certification classes (if not already certified).
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a standard criminal background check as required by Maryland childcare regulations.
