Ground Up Construction Recruiting is partnered with a leading general contractor in the Kansas City metro to help them hire a Preconstruction Manager.
They do $75M-$100M/year in revenue and operate exclusively in the KC metro. They’ve been in business for 15 years and specialize in healthcare, corporate offices, retail, education, sports facilities, and community projects. Most projects are between $5M-$10M, with their largest to date being $50M.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $130k-$150k salary

The Preconstruction Manager will play a key leadership role in shaping projects from concept to contract. This position partners closely with clients, designers, and internal teams to define scope, manage budgets, reduce risk, and set projects up for success before construction begins.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead preconstruction planning, budgeting, and scheduling initiatives
- Collaborate with owners and design teams across multiple market sectors
- Oversee estimating, value engineering, and constructibility reviews
- Identify risks and drive innovative, proactive solutions
- Support client presentations and early relationship building
- Ensure a smooth transition from preconstruction to operations
