This is a part-time or full-time role located in Houston, TX.
H&S Preconstruction is seeking a Project Coordinator who can serve as the organizational engine of our preconstruction operations.
This role is best suited for a recent graduate or student who wants to understand the administrative and technical engine of the preconstruction process. You will support our work across all client types.
Role Summary
The Project Coordinator is responsible for managing the flow of information across multiple active projects. This role requires a blend of high-level administrative precision and a fundamental understanding of the preconstruction process unique to each respective client-type (civil/general contractor and developer/owner).
Additional Responsibilities
Client & Project Tracking
- Maintain and update internal and client-facing project trackers to ensure all deadlines and misc. project information is current.
- Proactively review the "Bid Calendar," flagging potential overlaps or resource "bottlenecks" where multiple project deadlines collide.
- Examine the internal database of project leads, ensuring that every lead is logged and follow-up tasks are assigned appropriately.
Document Control & Administrative Support
- Log the digital project environment, ensuring all project-related files are correctly downloaded, labeled, and saved.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the team during the entire preconstruction process.
Deliverable Production
- Act as the "Final Editor" for all outgoing deliverables for all client types; proofreading for grammatical accuracy, ensuring consistent branding, and verifying the each project-specific deliverable checklist has been completed.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Junior College (Associate Degree) or Trade Program with a focus on Construction Management, Drafting, or Engineering Technology.
- The "Detail" Gene: Must be naturally organized and detail-oriented.
- Local Commitment: Based in the Houston area with a desire to learn the nuances of the Houston, Texas construction market.
- Availability: Flexible, but a minimum of 15–20 hours per week is required for consideration.
