What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Manager position at Gross, Mendelsohn & Associates, P.A.?
Gross Mendelsohn & Associates is seeking a Tax Manager with a minimum of six years of tax accounting experience in a public accounting firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing individual (1040), corporate, and partnership returns, including estates and trusts. Experience with multi-state tax returns is preferred. Candidates must possess strong tax research skills and a Master's degree in Tax or a willingness to obtain one. Experience with ProSystems Engagement and ProSystems Axcess is advantageous.
This position requires a motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, a client-centric approach, and a willingness to mentor and develop team members.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 6 years of tax accounting experience in a public accounting firm
• CPA or EA certification preferred
• Experience in reviewing and preparing 1040, corporate, partnership returns, estates and trusts, and multistate returns
• Strong tax research skills
• Master's in Taxation (preferred) or willingness to obtain
• Experience with ProSystems Engagement and ProSystems Axcess is beneficial
• Proficient in Excel
• Willingness to train and mentor staff
• Demonstrated strong work ethic
• Excellent communication and interpersonal client relations skills
• Positive attitude and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service
• Ability to work extended hours during tax season (January to April 15th)

COMPENSATION
Gross Mendelsohn compensates employees based on several factors, including but not limited to skill level, experience, education, degree(s), and certifications.

Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
