Our busy, family-focused pediatric dental practice is seeking a friendly, organized, and compassionate Patient Services Representative to be the welcoming face of our office. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and families, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to providing exceptional customer service.
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a positive experience from the moment families call or walk through our doors.
Schedule: Part-Time (Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday)
Pay: $20.00–$25.00 per hour (based on experience)
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and families with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate appointments efficiently.
- Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Collect patient information and maintain accurate electronic records.
- Review treatment plans and discuss financial arrangements with families.
- Collect copayments and account balances.
- Manage patient communications, including appointment reminders and follow-up calls.
- Coordinate referrals and communicate with referring offices when needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with administrative projects and support the clinical team as needed.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
Qualifications
- Previous dental or medical office experience preferred (pediatric dental experience is a plus).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable learning dental software and electronic health records.
- Basic understanding of dental insurance and billing is preferred.
- Positive attitude, dependable, and a strong team player.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
