Business Analyst - POS

We are looking for:

Business Systems Analyst - POS [Should haveheavy Mobile Payments-(Xstore is NOT required)

3 - BSA Retail with heavy Fraud & Payments

Location: Seattle WA (Hybrid 2-3 days)

Experience and Skillset:

• Business and functional requirement gathering for small medium complex scope; compiling needs from multiple stakeholders into a single set of prioritized requirements.

• Identify business processes, document their workflow in process maps which reflect the relationship between the operating model and the technology platforms, and identify roles within these processes.

• Work with stakeholders to understand their business needs and challenges, assist in aligning overall scope and sequencing recommendations with business stakeholders.

• Include dependency management and architectural decisions in requirements.

• Engages with engineering team to design technical solutions that meet business requirements.

• Oversee the implementation of technical solutions, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

• Assists in testing and participates in test phases prior to UAT.

• Updates technical specs based on testing, prioritized defects or post-release lessons learned

• Analyze data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement.

• Create and maintain reports to support business decision-making and provide actionable recommendations.

• Supports communication for application/system deployment

• Works to ensure application availability and SLAs for operational readiness

• Utilize or develop artifacts such as business requirements documentation, JIRA, and Confluence to facilitate requirements alignment sessions, develop test scripts, and document requirements for SOX auditing.

• Evaluate current business processes, workflows, and roadmaps to have a comprehensive understanding of current state and ideal future state.

• Lead cross functional collaboration and drives to alignment with business partners within constraints of the project or work.

Qualifications:

• Senior Business System Analyst with over 5 years of experience supporting IT projects within an enterprise environment (1000 employees). Ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams in an agile environment.

• 2 projects working as a BA on a POS solution end to end. Must have experience working with gateways/processors. Payment experience is a must in order to understand the complexity of the environment.

• 2 projects (end to end) working with data integrations (APIs, files) - must demonstrate the ability to analyze cross-functional flows and understand functional flows in SaaS applications.

• Experience creating technical specifications and documentation for large, complex projects

• Strong understanding of retail systems, including POS, inventory management, and e-commerce platforms.

• Experience with data analysis tools and technologies, such as SQL, Excel, and BI tools.

• Knowledge of various project lifecycle methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation, Container Management, Application Performance Engineering, monitoring, alerting, AWS Services and Architecture

• Ability to determine estimates of effort and impacts for a variety of solutions and influence technical discussions and decisions

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and prioritize numerous tasks and to coordinate activities with a high sense of urgency

• Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent presentation, verbal, written, interpersonal and listening skills

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills including collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation
