Position Summary
Greenway Technologies is seeking an experienced Controller / Senior Bookkeeper to oversee and manage the company’s day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive professional who is comfortable working in a growing, multi-state organization and partnering closely with leadership to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Experience with NetSuite and QuickBooks is a strong plus, as Greenway operates in a dynamic construction/service environment with evolving financial systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all general ledger activity, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and cash flow tracking
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and applicable federal and state regulations
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for leadership decision-making
- Maintain and improve accounting processes, workflows, and documentation
- Coordinate with external partners including auditors, tax professionals, and banking institutions
- Assist with system management and optimization within NetSuite and/or QuickBooks
- Support job costing, WIP tracking, and reporting (construction/service environment experience preferred)
- 3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or controller-level experience
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks; NetSuite experience highly preferred
- Experience preparing financial statements and managing month-end close
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Construction, service, or project-based accounting experience is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
