Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Fire Alarm Designer based in Phoenix, AZ. The Fire Alarm Designer will be responsible for creating and reviewing fire alarm system designs, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. Responsibilities include producing detailed plans and drawings, calculating system requirements, collaborating with project managers and engineers, and submitting designs for approval. Additionally, the designer will assist with project coordination and provide support during the installation phase to ensure project quality and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in fire alarm system design and engineering principles
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards, including NFPA guidelines
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software
- Ability to create detailed plans, perform calculations, and prepare system specifications
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with stakeholders
- NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems or equivalent is highly desirable
- Relevant work experience in fire alarm design and a high school diploma or higher education in a related field
