We are seeking an experienced, successful, and engaged Project Management Office Director to join our team. This position is expected to work out of our corporate office located in San Jose and limited job-related travel may be required.
Position Summary
GreenWaste is seeking to fill the position of Project Management Office Director to provide support to one or more facilities. This role’s main function will be to lead the project management initiatives, maintain project management standards while overseeing projects and ensuring they align with organizational goals.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
Leadership
Typical work week is Monday through Friday. Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Ability to work in setting with frequent changes in start/end time, based on the organizational needs.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities
Leadership
- Direct the strategic direction for PMO and ensure it aligns with the Organizational objectives.
- Manage communication and relationships with the key stakeholders including executive and senior management teams
- Monitor the progress of each project, identify risks, end ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner and on budget
- Find optimization opportunities and reduce the project risks and costs.
- Review and check completed projects for accuracy and provide project/construction/document guidance as necessary
- Oversee current and future resource allocation to ensure projects have adequate resources for timely delivery.
- Responsible for the design, development, and standardization of the project planning and execution of projects.
- Oversee strategic planning, learning strategy, communications, industry benchmarking and workforce strategy and development.
- Ability to coordinate the efforts of various teams, across internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to handle workload in crisis or high stress events with quick turnarounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work with the current management team and senior leadership
- Must have excellent people skills and be able to effectively lead organizational objectives
- Proven track record meeting actionable requirements.
- Proven track record working with key stakeholders.
- Understanding of change management, internal risk management concepts.
- Ability to keep information confidential and private and high ethical standards
- Self-motivated.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Projects, Planner.
- Proficient in Project Management principles, best practices, tools and software applications.
- Proven ability to manage large, complex projects with cross functional departments
- Effective problem solving and analytical skills: research, analyzing data, developing hypotheses, and synthesizing recommendations. Ability to synthesize complex information quickly.
- 15 years of experience in project management specific to start-ups or private equity
- Bachelor of Science in project management, business or a related field from an accredited university is required.
- Proficiency in English
- Ability to physically push, pull and lift to 15-25 lbs.
- Ability to sit or stand at a desk in an office environment for 6-10 hours a day.
