Position Summary

The RN Second Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing nursing operations during the evening shift, ensuring exceptional resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff support. This position serves as a clinical leader and resource for nursing staff while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for nursing operations during second shift
• Supervise, mentor, and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
• Ensure residents receive high-quality, compassionate care
• Monitor resident conditions and respond appropriately to clinical concerns
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations
• Conduct shift reports and facilitate communication between departments and shifts
• Assist with staff coaching, development, and performance improvement initiatives
• Review and maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Investigate and report incidents, resident concerns, and changes in condition
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a resident-centered culture

Qualifications

• Current, active, and unencumbered North Carolina or Compact State RN License
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, preferably in Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
