Overview
Seeking a Controls Engineer with Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) experience to support high-tech semiconductor facility projects. This role focuses on tool installation, PLC systems, and facility control systems within a fast-paced advanced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering oversight during installation of semiconductor manufacturing equipment
- Review and support PLC, instrumentation, and control system designs
- Work with systems including:
- Fire alarm systems
- Chemical control systems
- Toxic Gas Monitoring (TGM) systems
- Develop and review technical specifications and design documents
- Review vendor submittals for compliance with project requirements and codes
- Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors
- Support final system integration and installation activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (ABET preferred)
- 5 years of experience with industrial control systems / PLCs
- Experience with instrumentation, controls, and system integration
- Knowledge of:
- IFC (International Fire Code)
- IMC (International Mechanical Code)
- UL and IEEE standards
- Experience reviewing technical designs and vendor documentation
- Strong communication and coordination skills
Preferred
- EIT or PE license
- Experience in semiconductor or cleanroom environments
- Field experience working with construction teams or subcontractors
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit
- Experience with facility systems, process controls, or TGM systems
