Working Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (Monday-Friday)
Assist the Director to work closely with the public and passengers.
Assist the Director to ensure that public transit and social service transportation coordination occur in a safe, cost-effective, and responsive manner.
Assist the Director to ensure that the agency’s programs are conducted in accordance with Federal and State regulations, and in accordance with local needs and conditions; ensure good relations with the Greene County Commissioners, Federal Transit Administration (FTA), Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission; be active in Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission and the Ohio Public Transit Association.
Assist the Executive Director to prepare and implement an annual budget such that sufficient operating and capital funding is secured. Assist the Executive Director to prepare budget amendments.
Assist the Executive Director to prepare, submit, report and monitor funding grants; search for new as well as traditional sources of funds; and prepare FTA, ECHO, and ODOT draw downs.
Assist the Executive Director to manage contract services provided by transportation operators and other vendors; prepare Request for Proposals, select providers, prepare contracts, amend contracts, and manage contracts; ensure good relations with service providers; and procure capital and supply items as needed.
Assist the Executive Director to negotiate and monitor the performance of contracts with Greene County Board of Developmental Disabilities (GCBDD), Greene County Department of Job and Family Services (GCDJFS) and others, including annual update/negotiation, amendments, and contract management; ensure good relations with GCBDD, GCDJFS and others.
Assist the Executive Director to supervise the operation of the Scheduling Department and Administrative personnel.
Assist the Executive Director to conduct field reviews of schedules, schedule adherence, etc., service planning, monitoring, evaluation and general planning.
Assist the Executive Director in conducting personnel/human resources direction of agency and serves as the agency personnel officer.
Performs miscellaneous duties as needed to ensure the effective and efficient operations of the Greene County Transit Board.
Equivalent experience may be substituted for the educational requirement noted above.
