What You Will Do
Provide nursing services in accordance with state and federal regulations and Department of Public Health rules
Participate in pre-admission assessments for prospective residents
Complete admission, monthly, and periodic resident assessments for functional and cognitive status
Review and revise assessments and care plans at admission, periodically per regulation, and with any change in resident condition
Administer and document medications following the Five Rights of medication administration
Review and transcribe physician orders and assist physicians during resident examinations as needed
Assist residents in scheduling medical, dental, and laboratory appointments
Maintain compliance with all personnel policies and community procedures
Participate in staff development and ongoing training programs
Understand and implement Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness plans during drills and emergencies
Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position reports directly to the Executive Director and is expected to perform with minimal supervision while exercising sound judgment. The RN will supervise, direct, and review the work of associates in the Assisted Living and/or Memory Care departments.
Why You Are Qualified
The ideal candidate will have:
RN license (required)
Combination of education and/or experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university in a related field
Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience in long-term care or a related healthcare setting
Ability to meet physical requirements of the role, including standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds unassisted, and assisting with resident transfers using appropriate equipment
