Trainee Foreign Trade Zone Operations Specialist

Ownership Of Shipments

• Follow requirements set forth in the client specific SOPs provided.
• Completion of foreign zone processing which includes but not limited to:
• ICRS maintenance
• In-bond filing
• Export Clearance
• Customs Clearance filing
• Recordkeeping
• Invoicing
• Data validation to ensure zone compliance
• Process development to improve compliance gaps identified
• Daily off-balance reviews
• Security reviews at client sites, as needed
  

Client Management

• Serve as a point of contact for FTZ clients.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs
  
  

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including tariffs, trade agreements, FTAs, and import/export restrictions.
• Stay updated on changes in regulations.
  
  

Process And Performance Optimization

• Work with GTS Management to improve customs clearance, export clearance, and recordkeeping processes to enhance efficiency and reduce delays.
• Follow required best practices and process flows set forth in SOPs.
• Engage in innovative solutions to streamline operations.
• Follow key performance indicators (KPIs) and be part of implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
  
  

Collaboration And Communication

• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and customs officials that are across multiple locations.
  
  

Financial Management

• Follow SOPs for standardized billing rates and formats for FTZ invoicing.
