Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Human Resources Specialist to join our team. The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for managing various HR functions and programs to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and training initiatives. The ideal candidate demonstrates knowledge in HR policies and procedures, possesses excellent communication skills, and has a strong ability to analyze and resolve personnel issues. Duties
- Administers compensation and benefits programs, including payroll processing and benefits enrollment.
- Ensures compliance with labor laws and regulations in multiple states, maintaining accurate employee records and documentation.
- Manages the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviews, and candidate selection.
- Onboards and offboards employees ensuring effective integration of employees into the company culture.
- Advises and supports employees and management on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations by conducting workplace safety assessments, maintaining accurate records of safety incidents, and coordinating safety training programs for employees.
- Handles employee relations issues by addressing concerns and facilitating resolution.
- Ensures retirement plans are administered in accordance with company, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
- Manages the workers' compensation program, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, processing claims efficiently, and supporting injured employees in their return to work.
- Conducts employee surveys and analyze feedback to improve workplace engagement and satisfaction.
- Schedules travel for employees as needed.
- Oversees ordering and inventory of team gear.
- Orders, organizes, and maintains all office equipment and supplies.
- Maintains and monitors vehicle maintenance and records.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
