Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various manufacturing equipment, ensuring quality standards, and supporting production processes in a fast-paced factory environment. This role requires technical proficiency with CNC machinery, fabrication tools, and quality control instruments to meet production goals efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Operate CNC machines including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC programming to produce precision parts according to specifications.
- Set up and adjust equipment such as stamping presses, press brake machines, and flexo presses to ensure optimal operation.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Fanuc systems, and CAM programming for machine control and automation processes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings for accurate fabrication.
- Perform machining tasks using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions.
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Handle materials using forklifts and materials handling equipment safely within the warehouse or fabrication area.
- Assist in assembly line operations, fabrication, welding, and packaging of finished products.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Support tooling setup, basic math calculations for measurements, and troubleshooting of machinery issues as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with manufacturing equipment such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brake machines, and flexo presses.
- Knowledge of Fanuc controls, PLC systems, CAM programming, CAD software like SolidWorks or similar tools.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and apply GD&T principles for precision machining.
- Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, fabrication processes, welding techniques, and machining operations.
- Familiarity with quality control instruments including calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring devices.
- Previous factory or warehouse experience in a manufacturing facility is preferred.
- Skilled in materials handling using forklifts or hand tools within an industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to manufacturing environments.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations involved in machining tasks.
